For Love of Them

For Love of Them was created in the hopes of spreading one of life’s greatest joys- having For Love of Them. It is an up and coming website which will feature information for those who are looking for general information about dogs and dog ownership.  For Love of Them is dedicated to the Canine Loves of my life.

About Me

Nearly four years ago my first dog, Buddy, walked into my life. Buddy showed my husband and I a walk on the wild side; we had no idea what we were doing and Buddy took control of the situation. We went through a case of parvo, demodex (twice, mind you), random emergencies, allergies, and yeast infections-just to name a few. But here we are, standing tall and proud with three dogs and a whole lot of ‘For Love of Them’.

Where did the term “For Love of Them” come from?
Everything I do has been for my dogs and my love for them. There is no bond equal or even measurable to that between a canine and their human. My want to help –and save- them all comes from a deep love I was shown by my father towards animals, which could be why my parents have 9 dogs and my husband and I have 3 (if we could have more, undoubtedly, we would). I educate myself, read books, have started a dog forum with a dear friend and learn all I can about dog care, from nutrition to vaccinations and holistic veterinary care. For Love of Them was founded on the basis of pure canine affection, and it’s contributors each hold a similar love, unique to each heart.
